Our approach
Xceptional Hockey is designed to help athletes develop and connect with legitimate opportunities without making personal information openly available. Safety is a shared responsibility across administrators, coaches, athletes, guardians, and program staff.
Approved professional access
Coaches, agents, and scouts must submit professional information and receive administrator approval before accessing athlete discovery or complete recruiting profiles. Player profiles for adults are visible to those approved professionals by default, while adult players can make a Passport private at any time. Minor Passports remain private. Any private Passport requires an approved Passport Access request. The platform can suspend or revoke professional access.
Athlete visibility controls
Athletes decide which profile, academic, video, and contact information to provide. For an adult athlete, player-provided recruiting contact information is visible to verified professionals who can view the Passport. Contact information for a minor stays protected until a separate Contact Information request is approved with guardian consent. Passport access never automatically grants protected contact access. Athletes should avoid placing home addresses, private schedules, passwords, government identification, financial information, or unnecessary medical information in profiles or videos.
Guardian involvement
Users must be at least 13. Athletes under the age of majority should involve a parent or legal guardian. When the athlete’s date of birth indicates they are a minor, the Player Portal requires guardian information and records consent status. Guardian approval is required before protected contact information is released. This does not replace event-specific participation, medical, liability, transportation, accommodation, or media consent forms.
Coach conduct
Coaches must use athlete information only for legitimate development or recruiting purposes, respect the athlete’s settings and guardian involvement, keep communication professional, and follow all applicable organizational safeguarding and recruiting requirements. Coaches must not pressure athletes to move conversations to secret channels or conceal contact from guardians.
Report a concern
For inappropriate contact, suspected impersonation, misuse of athlete information, or another non-emergency safety issue, use the Contact Us form and choose the most relevant topic, or email digit@digitmurphy.com. Include the account name, what occurred, and any supporting screenshots. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information.
If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Reports to Train With the Pros do not replace reporting to law enforcement, a sport governing body, or another appropriate safeguarding authority.
